Impact investing can be done by anyone...with the right support
If you are a business angel or a private investment company, there are many ways to invest so that social and environmental results can be generated. Private investors are often pioneers in impact investing, as they have a high degree of freedom to set their own goals, develop strategies that fit their specific purpose and decide which financing models to use.
At Impact Invest, we have access to the pioneers in the field that show how impact investing can be done in all different asset classes, in different sectors and in different geographies.
We offer individual advice and support to private investors. The membership in our network gives you: access to a platform where you will learn more about impact investing, access to a unique dealflow and to learn from other members.
What type of investor are you?
Institutional Investors/ Public Capital
There are several ways for an institutional investor to further develop a sustainable investment strategy to increase and develop the social & ecological aspects of their assets.
Impact funds: Outside Sweden, there are several models for how investments in, for example, mission-driven companies can be part of pension funds. As an expert on impact investing, we offer two services: Advice and practical support to set up a fund, or independent advice and review when selecting an asset manager. (See our Cases)
Bonds: Impact Invest was part of the Nordic region's first project to issue a sustainability bond with a social outcome contract. We help structure of validate new investments.
Increasing impact in existing holdings: An analysis of an existing portfolio can provide guidance on the current status and, above all, the potential to increase social returns with different asset classes. We make recommendations for how to increase impact and help identify alternative investments.
Social investment funds and grants: Financing for pilot projects in social innovation, enable pay-for-social-results models. Impact Invest has many years of experience, as well as proven methodology, of structuring and running social funds and financing programs. (See our Cases) In the past year, we supported more than 50 cases.
We also managed a national grant programme for social enterprises on behalf of Tillväxtverket.
Perhaps the most well-known philanthropist we've helped invest socially is Richard Branson, who coined the term "business as a force for good". For Branson, we had the task of creating new business models in several African countries to deliver medicine and primary healthcare in rural areas. Here we did everything from importing off-road motorcycles to finding local partners to training entrepreneurs!
We have also helped several Swedish pioneers. For the Leksell family, we did research on impact investors in Europe and the needs of social entrepreneurs in Sweden. During the first operating year at Leksell Social Ventures, we helped with due diligence and advice. LSV is one the members of our investor network.
